An anniversary
A year-ago today I was diagnosed with cancer.
After having 21 centimeters of my colon removed, undergoing 6 months of chemotherapy and navigating drug induced menopause my cancer is now in remission. My Cancer? In remission? There aren’t many diseases people take ownership of, or from which you are never truly cured. This is not where I expected to find myself but hey, it isn’t all doom and gloom.
Cancer is a contradiction and the fear it brings casts darkness yet also shines light on life’s fleeting moments.
Welcome to my blog. This is the first postcard I am sending back from the Kingdom of the unwell. I hope it in some way helps and enlightens.
Love, Kerry Doyle xx

Hi Kerry, wishing you a peaceful and happy New Year! Are you on WhatsApp? It would be nice to keep in touch and hear how you are doing. We are all well, it’s very cold at the moment in the UK. The children are being taught remotely at school due to covid & most businesses are closed again here. So a time for reflection and appreciation of the continuity of nature and the changing seasons, with Spring around the corner. Take care, love , Aunty Patsy ( Patricia Balvin on WhatsApp).xx
